Himachal Pradesh High Court has imposed a fine of 10 lakhs on the State Staff Selection Commission. This is because of not providing proper assistance in the process of selection. In the matter of selection of pharmacist in Ayurveda department, the High Court gave this decision due to double and confrontational attitude towards a candidate. Justice Ajay Mohan Goel has ordered the Staff Selection Commission to pay the fine by August 22. The court has not decided where this amount will be deposited. The judge said that the attitude the Commission has adopted with the petitioner is very sad.
Court said – only God can save recruitment agencies
At the same time, the judge said that the petitioners are from the weaker sections of the society and getting a government job is their dream. If their dreams are crushed by a harsh attitude, then only God can save the recruitment agencies. According to the information, the commission did not give a mark for being landless, due to which he had to approach the court. The court has ruled in favor of the petitioner and asked the commission to deposit the amount as fine of Rs 10 lakh.
In the selection, the applicant was asked to give a certificate of being landless. But the certificate was not submitted on time. At the same time, the petitioner has said that he had submitted the certificate on time. Even after that the evaluation team did not consider the certificate. The commission also said that the certificate also did not mention that the applicant’s family does not have any other land at any other place.
