20 percent ethanol can be mixed in petrol from April 1, 2023, cabinet approves amendment in national policy of biofuel

Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the cabinet has approved an important proposal on Wednesday. Under which the cabinet has approved amendments to the National Policy on Biofuel-2018. After this decision, up to 20 percent ethanol can be mixed in petrol.

Central Government to control the consumption of fossil fuels (Central Government) has started taking steps. In this regard, the central government has taken an important decision on Wednesday. Under which the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved Biofuel (Biofuel) has approved the amendment in the National Policy-2018. After this decision, now the amount of ethanol in the petrol used inside the country will increase. Under which the amount of ethanol in petrol can be increased by 20 percent from April 1, 2023. The National Policy on Biofuel was notified by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on June 4, 2018. This policy was introduced in 2009 through the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
