The joint venture between ATD Group and SRAM & MRAM has introduced four electric scooters under the Canopus brand. The names of these electric scooters are Valeria, Scarlett, Colette, and Aurora. The company has informed that these e-scooters from Canopus incorporate several patented German and Korean technologies, such as CAMIVT technology for transmission, FOC technology for controller, and tailor-made motor. Apart from this, it has also been claimed that the group will invest Rs 100 crore in the EV segment in a phased manner.

Canopus claims that its electric scooters will cost 20 paise per kilometer, which is Rs 2 less per kilometer than petrol powered scooters. Apart from this, it has also been reported that these electric scooters will take 4 to 5 hours to charge initially, but the brand will introduce a new charging technology, which will charge electric scooters up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. will be able Apart from this, there will also be options for battery replacement and battery swapping, as well as integrated charging stations with the app at every location. Korean wind power technology will be used to enhance the power efficiency of the battery so that the brand’s electric scooters can deliver more mileage.

Canopus Colette Electric Scooter

The brand claims that the scooter will use state-of-the-art technologies such as IoT-based telematics smart TFT dashboard and mobile app, which will show every information the rider needs. In this, important information like riding behavior of the rider, battery condition, riding modes etc. will be shown. The Canopus scooters will also come with smart features like geofencing, GPS tracking, SOS trigger in emergency case for women, roadside assistance etc.

Canopus’ R&D (Research and Development) center has been set up in Ahmedabad and the company is planning to start a production unit in Rajasthan. In addition, the company has informed that the group will invest Rs 100 crore in the EV segment in a phased manner. Currently, the prototypes of the electric vehicles are ready and the company is in the process of setting up a dealer network across the country.
