4 new labs for DSEU medical students will get internship opportunity

The first batch of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) B.Sc in DSEU has been started in December 2021 with the first academic year of the university.

Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University and Metropolis Healthcare have commissioned 4 state-of-the-art labs at DSEU Dwarka campus. These labs set up by Metropolis Healthcare DSEU For students of the BSc Medical Laboratory Technology program in partnership with Let us tell you that for the needs of the industry, Kaushal University in partnership with Metropolis Healthcare Limited has introduced Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT).

It is one of the 11 flagship degree courses offered by the university, which was started by Delhi Skill University in its first academic year 2021. Metropolis Healthcare will implement this project under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) along with DSEU which will provide student development, training and ensure career development support.

New Labs to be set up in DSEU Dwarka Camper

Metropolis Healthcare has donated equipment worth Rs 60 lakh to set up 4 labs at DSEU’s Dwarka campus. This partnership will reap double benefits. It will ensure that the students are accessed to better and quality machines during the duration of their programme.

Through this partnership, the BSc MLT course is being developed in collaboration with experts from both industry and academia. This will enable a curriculum that is updated and tailored to the requirements of the hiring agencies. Theoretical concepts are essential, but desirable skills appropriate with practical experience will help the students to move forward.

Students will get direct benefit

DSEU VC Prof Neharika Vohra said that we have got cooperation from Metropolis Healthcare for the development of this course. I would like to express my gratitude to them for this. Labs set up by Metropolis Healthcare will benefit 360 students enrolled at the Dwarka campus in the three-year program at any one time. We look forward to creating a safe space for students to work and develop their skills in the medical lab science domain in a controlled, supervised environment.
