Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has started admission to ‘BS Program in Data Science and Applications’. For Jan 2023 Batch IIT Madras Applications are invited from the students. Interested candidates can apply online for this program by visiting the official website Students can apply for admission in this course till January 16. Students from all over the world can apply for this online course. However, they must have studied Maths and English till class 10th.

At the same time, students studying in class 12th can try for the qualifiers. In this way, they will get admission letter from IIT Madras while still in school. All the exams will be conducted individually. Candidates of any age can apply for this program. Candidates from fields like Arts, Science, Commerce, Economics, Medicine, Law or Engineering can also apply for this course.

In addition, the program has its own qualifier process, in which four subjects will be taught by IIT Madras for four weeks. After this the test of these subjects will also be taken. Those who get minimum passing marks of more than 50 will be given admission in BS Degree in Data Science and Applications. There is no limit on the number of seats for admission. In such a situation, the candidates who will qualify the exam will be able to study for the programme.

What will be taught in the course?

The program starts with the foundation level, in which the basics of programming and data science are taught. After this diploma level course will be taught. Diploma in Programming includes Data Structures and Algorithms, Java Programming, Web Application Development (Front and Back End), Database Management, Intro to Linux Programming and two full-stack development projects.
