Another Chinese company under wraps, ‘Vivo Mobile’ accused of tax evasion of 2217 crores

Before Vivo India, action has been taken against two Chinese mobile companies Xiaomi and Oppo. Both these companies have been accused of stealing tax and sending tax money to China. Investigation is going on against both these companies.

Mobile company Vivo India has been accused of tax evasion of 2217 crores. The full name of this company is Vivo Mobile India Private Limited. This company is a subsidiary of Chinese mobile firm Vivo Communication Technology Co., Ltd. This has come to the fore in an investigation by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). This company has been accused of evading custom duty. This amount comes to Rs 2217 crore. In recent months, the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED and DRI have taken action against many companies on tax charges, including Chinese companies. Earlier, there have also been allegations of tax evasion against Xiaomi and Oppo India. (Updating news)
