Answer sheet of DElEd candidates missing in Rajasthan, NIOS answer sought

The Rajasthan Information Commission has taken serious note of not getting bundle of answer sheets of 197 candidates in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) examination. The commission has directed to take help of the police in this matter. Along with this, the organizer of this examination has also called for a response from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Hearing the petition of an examinee from Chittorgarh district, the complainant in the case, Information Commissioner Narayan Bareth told the school management, “The answer sheet makes a mark sheet. Marks table is not a piece of paper. On the basis of the mark table, an aspirant builds the building of his future dreams.

Bareth told the school management that the missing answer sheet is a serious matter. He directed the school management to file a police report in this matter. The applicant told the commission that when information was sought from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), it was brushed aside saying that there was no such provision. The examiner who reached the commission said that this incident has had a bad effect on his future. The student alleges that the answer sheets have been lost even before the evaluation.

The complainant told the commission that she has been asking for a copy of her answer sheet for a long time. But neither the organizing institute is giving any satisfactory answer nor the government school where this exam was conducted in the year 2018. On the contrary, students are shown absent in that subject. This examination was held in December, 2018 at the Government Higher Secondary School, Senti in Chittorgarh district.
