It is possible that future Apple Watch models will now be able to monitor glucose and alcohol levels as well. The startup said that the firm’s revenue by two large customers was 100 percent in 2020 and 99.6 percent in 2019.

Rockley Photonics manufactures health and wellbeing sensors, including blood test applications with infrared light. It is being claimed that these sensors can also monitor blood pressure. Also glucose and alcohol levels can be measured. The connection between Apple and this startup going public in New York reveals that the iPhone maker will now bring blood sugar monitoring functionality to its future products.

The report also stated by Andrew Rickman, CEO of Rockley Photonics, that the technology being manufactured by the company will be seen in the products of the year 2022. However, he did not make it clear that his technology will be seen in Apple’s own products. Currently, the Apple Watch has heart rate measurement sensors. At the same time, it is being said that Apple is working on another variant Explorer Edition which may come in the market by the end of this year or the beginning of the year 2022.
