Asteroid: Devastating asteroids ‘touched’ the earth, 5 rocky disasters came close in a day

Asteroids, also called asteroids, come near our Earth from time to time. However this year is a little different. This year the number of asteroids coming close to the Earth has increased. For many days, two-three asteroids are passing near our Earth and on Thursday-Friday, about 5 asteroids made a close encounter with our planet. According to the US space agency NASA, ‘Asteroid 2022 QH8’ was the largest rocky disaster that came close to our planet in the last 24 hours. This 160 feet wide asteroid was in the shape of a commercial plane. It traveled at a speed of about 55 thousand kilometers per hour. When it came closest to the Earth, then the distance between the two was only around 2.5 million kilometers.

according to information, ‘Asteroid 2022 SG’, whose size was 140 feet, passed close to the Earth from a distance of 1.7 million kilometers on Thursday. Three other asteroids – 2022 SG3, 2022 ST1 and 2022 SK1 also came close to our planet. All these were revealed this year. According to experts, the most worrying of all these asteroids was ‘Asteroid 2022 QH8’. If it deviates a little from its path and turns towards the earth, it can bring great destruction.

That’s why scientists monitor asteroids until they move far away from the Earth’s atmosphere. Asteroid 2022 QH8, belonging to the Apollo group, is located in the Main Asteroid Belt near Jupiter. It was discovered on 29 August 2022. It takes about 1395 days to complete one revolution around the Sun. Its maximum distance from the Sun is 613 million km and closest contact is at 118 million km.

asteroid It is also called minor planet. Just as all the planets in our solar system revolve around the Sun, so also the asteroids revolve around the Sun. Asteroids are the rocky remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. Scientists have so far detected more than 11 lakh 13 thousand 527 asteroids.
