Babar-Rizwan could not break Balaji-Lewis’s record despite hitting 203 runs


Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan broke many records by making an unbroken partnership of 203 runs against England, but missed out on a record.

New Delhi. The pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan together did wonders in Karachi. The two shared an unbeaten 203-run partnership in the second T20 match against England to help Pakistan win by 10 wickets. With this, the pair also made a record by breaking their old record for the biggest partnership while chasing runs. Earlier this record was 197 runs.

Babar and Rizwan together scored a total of 203 runs and broke many records, but despite this they could not break the record of Balaji Pai and Lewis Bruce.  Babar and Rizwan's 203-run partnership is the second highest unbroken opening partnership in the history of T20 cricket.  The record for the biggest unbroken opening partnership is held by Balaji and Louis Bruce of Gibraltar, who scored an unbeaten 213 against Bulgaria.

At the same time, Babar and Rizwan are at number 5, who scored an unbeaten 152 against India.

Balaji and Lewis are also at number three in the list of biggest unbroken opening partnership in T20 cricket. Both also shared an unbeaten 172 against Bulgaria. New Zealand’s Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson are at number four, who scored an unbeaten 171 against Pakistan. At the same time, Babar and Rizwan are at number 5, who scored an unbeaten 152 against India.
