New Delhi: India’s badminton players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated China’s Ren Xiang Yu and Tan Qiang in the men’s doubles final of the Swiss Open on Sunday. The pair defeated the Chinese pair in straight games 21-19, 24-22 in the final. The world number-6 pair defeated the world number-21 pair in less than an hour. The Indian pair dominated the entire match and easily captured the match.

This is Rankireddy and Shetty’s first BWF doubles title this year. At the same time, both of them have the fifth title. This title is a matter of great relief for this pair because this year both of them could go beyond the quarterfinals only once out of five tournaments. The pair, however, were troubled by injuries.
