2. In 1986, Bappi Da had recorded 180 songs from 33 films. His achievement is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

3. While the world was crazy about the songs and dance of the world’s famous dancer Michael Jackson, Michael was a big fan of Bappi Lahiri’s song ‘Disco Dancer’ in India.

4. Bappi Lahiri was so rich in talent that he started learning tabla at the age of just 3 and started composing music at the age of 11.

5. Bappi Lahiri was famous for wearing uncountable gold ornaments all the time. He used to wear so much jewelry so that he could set his style statement. In an interview, he had revealed that he was very much influenced by a famous personality. After seeing them, he also did this to create his own style. He used to wear at least 7 to 8 chains every day. He used to wear so many gold chains because gold was lucky for him.

6. Kishore Kumar was a relative of Bappi Lahiri who taught him music as well as helped him establish a foothold in Bollywood.

7. Bappi Da was the only musician in the Indian film industry who is credited with giving the flavor of pop to music. His experiment changed the direction of Bollywood.

8. Many people will not know that Bappi Lahiri’s real name was Alokesh Lahiri, who later changed his stage name to Bappi Lahiri.

9. The magic of Bappi Lahiri’s music was not only in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. Bappi Da’s famous song ‘Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja’ from the film ‘Disco Dancer’ was included in the 2008 Hollywood film ‘You Don’t Mess with the Johan’. The music was recreated by Julius Dobos.
