Bappi Lahiri Passes away: Bappi Da is no more

Veteran singer and musician who has been ill for a long time Bappi Lahiri (Bappi Lahiri) He breathed his last on Tuesday night at Criticare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. He was 69 years old and was suffering from several health problems. The news of his death came this morning which made everyone sad. Bappi Da had told about this incident in an appearance on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ a few years back. He had said, “When he came to Bombay, I was sitting at one place. Michael Jackson came and he liked this gold chain of mine, the Ganpati one. He said, ‘Oh my god, wonderful! What is your name?’ I said Bappi Lahiri. He further said, ‘You are a musician?’ I said, ‘Yes, I have done ‘Disco Dancer’. As soon as ‘Disco Dancer’ spoke, he said ‘I like your song ‘Jimmy Jimmy’.

Was hospitalized for a month

Bappi Da was hospitalized a month before his death. Dr Deepak Namjoshi, the director of the hospital where he was admitted, told PTI, “Lahiri was hospitalized for a month and was discharged on Monday. But on Tuesday, his health deteriorated and his family called a doctor to his house. He was brought to the hospital. He had many health problems. He died of OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.

PM Modi expressed condolences

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the late musician and tweeted, “Shri Bappi Lahiri ji’s music was all-encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions. People across generations can relate to his works. His lively nature will be remembered by all. I am saddened by his death. Condolences to his family and fans. Calmness.”
