BCCI does not only give contract money to the players who show their strength on the cricket field for India, but the players also get rewarded for doing wonders on the field. The board makes it rain money.
The highest earning of Indian cricketers comes from the BCCI contract. In which there are 4 categories. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are the only 4 Indian players in the biggest category A+. 26 players have got BCCI contracts for the 2022-2023 season.
Apart from the contract, the players also get match fees. The players who are not involved in the contract, while playing matches for India, they also get match fees equal to the contract players.
BCCI also gives bonus to the player. In addition to the match fees, the player who scores a double century in ODIs and Tests gets Rs 7 lakh, the person who scores a century gets a bonus of Rs 5 lakh. On the other hand, if a player takes 10 wickets in a Test match, he gets a bonus of Rs 7 lakh. At the same time, the bowler who joins the club of 5 wickets gets Rs 5 lakh.
The BCCI gives bonus to the player for performing brilliantly. Also, if the team gets a big win, then the whole team gets a bonus. On winning a Test match against a team in the top 3 of the ICC rankings, the team gets an increase of 50 per cent in its match fee. Similarly, on winning the series, the match fee board gives 100 percent increase and 300 percent on winning the ODI or T20 World Cup.
