Coordinator Professor Dr Amit Kouts said, “As per the notification, all graduates with 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree in any stream are eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test. Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes candidates can appear for CET with 45% marks. Apart from this, candidates having master’s degree in any stream can also appear for CET. He said that 211 colleges in Punjab have been notified by the state government.

When will the admit card be issued and what will be the date of entrance test?

Panjab University Chandigarh has 6,950 seats in 59 colleges. At the same time, there are 4,800 seats in 51 colleges of Guru Nanak Dev University. In addition, Punjabi University has 8,450 in 79 colleges. In this way, in total, more than 20 thousand seats are to be admitted. On the other hand, after filling the application form, Guru Nanak Dev University will issue the admit card for BEd CET by 12th July 2022. It has been told that the entrance test will be conducted for the candidates on July 24, 2022. In CET, 25 percent qualifying marks have been fixed for general category candidates, while it is 20 percent for SC / ST candidates.

Exam centers will be in all district headquarters

Objective type questions will be asked from the students in the CET exam. The question paper will be in English and Punjabi medium. English as a language will be compulsory for all, while candidates will be given the option to choose Punjabi or Hindi language depending on their matriculation profile. For the convenience of the candidates, examination centers will be set up in all the district headquarters of Punjab as well as in Chandigarh. At the same time, till now three thousand applications have come for admission.
