However, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education clarified that schools will have to follow the Corona rules. There is a wave of happiness among the students and parents due to the decision of the government to open the schools. With this, the work of cleaning and sanitization has started in schools on Tuesday.
It has been said in the guideline that the school should be opened according to the Kovid rules. Let us inform that schools were already opened for classes from class VIII to class 12. At the same time, instead of schools for children from fifth to seventh grade, the school was running in the locality, there was a problem in it. So that too has been closed and now there will be classes in the school regularly.
School will run from Monday to Saturday
According to the guidelines issued by the Education Department of West Bengal, schools will run from Monday to Saturday. However, the rules of Kovid will have to be followed. Teachers have been asked to be present in the school on Tuesday, 15 February to check whether the schools have been properly disinfected and what steps need to be taken to comply with the COVID norms. Students will be able to come to school from 16th. Whether the hostel will remain open or not, it will be decided by the concerned school authorities, but the hostel will have to be opened as per the rules. It is mandatory for every student to reach school at least one hour before the start of school. The guidelines state that wearing of masks, explaining the need to wear masks, following social distancing norms and other codified protocols are mandatory.

According to sources, not only primary, upper primary and Anganwadi centers are also being opened. Schools are being started using rotation method. After the issue of this guideline, a virtual meeting was held in Kolkata Municipal Corporation for preparations. Structural report of 175 school buildings under Kolkata Municipal Corporation has been sought. The report has to be submitted by Wednesday. A total of 241 schools run from morning to afternoon in 175 school buildings. Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, English and Oriya medium schools are run under Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
