Actually, this matter is of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) of Bihar. A surprising case has come to light of students of Darbhanga district studying from LNMU getting more than 100 marks in the recently released exam results. The student of LNMU in Darbhanga said, ‘I was really surprised to see the result. I secured 151 marks out of 100 in Political Science paper (4) in BA Honors Part-II exam. Though it is a provisional mark sheet, the authorities should have checked it before releasing it.

Student who got zero number was promoted

The student told that this mistake was due to typing. He said, ‘Since it was a typing mistake, I was issued a revised mark sheet.’ The point to be noted here is that it is not that such a case has come to the fore with only one student. An even more surprising case has come to light with another student. Actually, another student of the university has got zero marks in Accounting and Finance Paper-4 in B.Com Part-2 examination. But the university has promoted him to the next class.

What did the university say?

However, this student also said that this happened due to a mistake in typing. He said, ‘The university officials accepted that it was a typing mistake and they have issued me a revised mark sheet.’ At the same time, when the registrar of the university, Professor Mushtaq Ahmed was contacted on this matter, he said, “After rectifying the typographical mistakes, new marksheets were issued to two students. It was just typing errors and nothing more.
