New Delhi. Former Indian opener and former Mumbai captain Sudhir Nayak is in critical condition. He is admitted in the ICU of the hospital. He was seriously injured after falling in the house in the past. Presently 78-year-old Sudhir is unconscious and his condition is said to be critical. According to the news of Times of India, the former Indian batsman’s friend told that since the death of his wife a few years ago, he was living alone in the house. His daughter and son-in-law will also reach Mumbai soon.
Sudhir Nayak was able to play only 3 Tests and 2 ODIs for India, but he did wonders in domestic cricket. In 85 first class matches, he scored 4376 runs including 7 centuries and 27 half-centuries. Not only this, in 2011, under the leadership of MS Dhoni, the Indian team became the world champion. The pitch for the World Cup final was also prepared by Sudhir.
