It is said that the shooting of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ took a long time of 9 years and during this time the love of both of them went deeper. Madhubala wanted to marry Dilip Kumar but Dilip Kumar refused. However, it is also said that Dilip Kumar was ready for marriage but Madhubala’s family was against this relationship. In 1958, Ayatollah Khan had also filed a case against Dilip Kumar in the court, due to which he wanted to end the love affair of these two.
Madhubala’s younger sister Madhur Bhushan, whose real name was Zahida, had told that she longed for true love throughout her life. In an interview, he disclosed that not only Dilip Kumar but Kishore Kumar had also cheated him. When Madhubala was ill and planning to go to London for treatment, Kishore Kumar proposed to her. Madhubala’s father wanted to take the advice of doctors and get married only after fully recovering but Madhubala, angry with Dilip Sahab’s behavior, immediately married Kishore Kumar. He got married in 1960 at the age of 27.

She used to be Bollywood’s best actress at one time, but when she fell ill and was on the verge of death, she did not even come to meet her and know her condition. In those days Madhubala had also stopped getting ready. She used to stay in night gown all the time. Madhubala died on 23 February 1969 at the age of 36. She was suffering from heart disease.
