Chinese company Xiaomi introduced CyberOne, a robot that understands human happiness and sorrow

Xiaomi has introduced its first human-like robot CyberOne. the company made it Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 Presented at the launch event of This robot can listen to human conversations, recognize them and also understand emotions. CyberOne is 177cm tall i.e. its height is about 5.9 feet. Its weight is 52 kg and the length of the hands is 168 cm. The company has claimed that it can also understand 3D space. CyberOne uses such technology that it can recognize 85 types of environmental sounds and 45 types of human emotions. Earlier, Xiaomi also launched a four-legged robot called CyberDog.

During the launch event, CyberOne also presented a flower to the company’s CEO Lee Jun and also showed some movements on stage. Lei Jun said in a statement that the robot’s AI and mechanical capabilities have been developed by Xiaomi Robotics Lab itself. Lee further explained that he has invested heavily in many areas of R&D spanning such as software, hardware and algorithm innovation. The CyberOne comes with arms and legs, and supports bipedal movement. It is said that it reaches a peak torque of up to 300Nm. It has an OLED module to show facial expressions and can see the world in 3D.

The CyberOne has a matte white finish and the joints have been given a darker finish. Lee Jun says that it can run at a speed of 3.6 km/h. In addition, the robot has a height of 177cm and a weight of 52kg, with arms measuring 168cm.

Xiaomi says that it supports 21 degree free motion and has a real time response speed of 0.5ms. It can lift weights up to 1.5 kg with one hand. The company has given Mi Sense system with AI in it so that it can identify people and can also recognize their gestures. It can recognize 85 types of environmental sounds and 45 types of human emotions.

The robot is currently in the development stage and some more features may be added to it before the final release. This is the second product of Xiaomi Robotics Lab. Earlier the company had released CyberDog. It is based on the Nvidia Jetson Xavier AI system. It has 11 high precision sensors which include touch sensor, camera and GPS module. With the help of this, it is able to connect with its surroundings. The robot has 128GB of SSD storage and can respond to voice commands. It recognizes wake up commands. It can be controlled with the help of the included remote or smartphone app.
