In a conversation with a Telugu TV channel, Balakrishna said, ‘He does not know who AR Rahman is.’ After this, he also made a controversial statement about India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna. He said that Bharat Ratna is equal to the nails of his father NTR.

Speaking about the awards he said, “I think Bharat Ratna is equal to my father’s (NTR) nails. No award can compensate for my family’s contribution to Tollywood. Soon after the interview went on air, fans of AR Rahman started trolling Balakrishna.

Balakrishna is the younger son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NTrama Rao.

Balakrishna is an actor as well as a politician. He has mainly appeared in Telugu films only. He is the younger son of Telugu film actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao. Balakrishna Nandamuri entered the film world at the age of 14. Since then he is continuously working in films. His first film Tatamma Kala was released in 1974.
