India’s Deepak Punia won the gold medal by defeating Pakistani wrestler Mohammad Inamab Butt in the final of the men’s 86 kg weight category of the Commonwealth Games. Inam has Commonwealth medals, but Deepak did not let his experience run in this match and defeated in a one-sided match. Inam was seen playing a very defensive game.

Deepak made a great start and tried to slam the Pakistani player but the reward did not allow this bet to succeed. Both the players kept trying continuously but none got success. Deepak, however, managed to take one point. The Pakistani wrestlers were playing defensive and hence they were warned of passivity by the referee and one point also came to Deepak’s share. Deepak went with a 2-0 lead in the first round.

In the second round, Inam was again defensive and was seen running away from Deepak’s bet. Deepak again took another point which made the score 3-0.
