The journey of the Commonwealth Games played in Birmingham came to an end on Monday. Every day from these games, which lasted for almost two weeks, good news kept coming for India. India finished fourth in these games. His share of 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals came and thus he finished fourth with a total of 61 medals. Apart from Lovlina, another Indian veteran female player Manika Batra also disappointed. Manika was expected that she would be able to save her women’s singles title this time but it did not happen. In athletics, India has performed amazingly in these sports. But the country’s legendary female sprinter Dutee Chand could not live up to the expectations. She had landed in 100 meters but could not go beyond the heat. He clocked 11.55 seconds which is less than his personal best of 11.17. (File Pic)
