When Ajintha Shulei returned home from the Commonwealth Games, her mother placed all her trophies and medals on a small stool.

New Delhi. Medals and trophies of Anchita Shuli, who lifted 313 kg in the Commonwealth Games 2022, are kept wrapped in mother’s torn sari. Weightlifter Shuli had won the gold medal for India in the 73 kg weight category. Shully’s mother told that her son’s medals and trophies are kept between the beds in the two-room house. Shuli’s house is in Deyulpur, West Bengal. When Ajintha Shulei returned home from the Commonwealth Games, her mother Poornima Shuli kept all these trophies and medals on a small stool.
