Indian women table tennis players Shreeja Akula Coming very close on Sunday, she missed another medal in the country’s bag. The player gave a tough fight to Yangzi Liu of Australia in the women’s singles category but lost the bronze medal match. Akula lost the match 11-3, 6-11, 2-11, 11-7, 13-15, 11-9, 7-11. Sreeja put in all her strength and took the match for the entire seven games but Liu somehow managed to medal her name.

Sreeja tried hard and sweated to win this match. In the opening game, Sreeja easily won his name but then he had to struggle to win. Liu came back and showed a great game. However, Sreeja too did not give up and, keeping his faith in himself, gave India a medal.

Liu made a comeback after losing the opening game. He easily won the second and third games. In the second game, Sreeja could take only six points while in the third game she could take only two points. From here the match seemed to be going from his bag. But in the fourth game, Sreeja made a comeback and won the game 11-4 to make the score 2-2. In the fifth game, Liu won 15-13.

This lead was reduced by Sreeja and brought to three points, then she went ahead and won the game 11-9 to take the match to the seventh game. In the seventh game, Sreeja gave a tough fight to Liu but could not win.
