Mumbai: Harmanpreet Kaur and her Mumbai Indians have created history. Harmanpreet’s captaincy has become the first champion of Mumbai Women’s Premier League. Mumbai defeated Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in a thrilling match with a small score that lasted till the last over on Sunday 26 March and thus won the WPL title. Not just this, Harmanpreet Kaur finally improved her record by winning a final against Meg Lanning for the first time.
Bad start of Mumbai too
The pair of Haley Mathews and Yastika Bhatia, who did a good opening for Mumbai in the entire tournament, could not do wonders this time. Both the pavilions returned for only 23 runs in the fourth over. The small score in front of which Mumbai’s victory seemed certain, Delhi made it difficult.
