Gambian President Adama Barrow was awarded the degree of D.Litt at the convocation of Integral University. A total of 3,435 degrees were awarded to students at the convocation.

Recently, the 16th convocation ceremony was organized at the Integral University located in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. In this ceremony, the students graduating in different subjects were honored with degrees. On this occasion, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh attended the program as the chief guest. UP Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak participated in the program as a guest of honor. The convocation was presided over by University Vice Chancellor and Founder Professor Syed Wasim Akhtar.
In the program, Professor Syed Wasim Akhtar conferred the degree of D.Litt to the President of Gambia, Adama Barrow. Gambian High Commissioner Mustafa Jawara, who attended the event as a special guest on behalf of President Barrow, received the honour. A total of 3,435 degrees were awarded to students at the convocation. A total of 67 students were awarded PhD in this session. There were 85 gold medalists and 82 silver medalists for the session 2021-22. Anam Tanveer, M.Tech topped the university and Syed Tuba Jamal, BBA became the second topper.

Vice Chancellor honored
The program started at 11.30 am with the university anthem. After this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Biopic ‘Junoon Ki Dastan’ based on the life of Syed Wasim Akhtar released. He felicitated Professor Syed Wasim Akhtar and Founder and Director of Techno Group of Schools, Lucknow, Azra Wasim for 25 years of excellence of Integral University.
What did the Defense Minister say?
Rajnath Singh addressed the people with his inspiring words. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the university for including him in this educational program. He appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor for making the university a path of success. He praised the university for its research-intensive environment and its digital infrastructure. He stressed on gender inclusivity and praised the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ imbibed by the university.
The High Commissioner of Gambia praised the university
UP Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak congratulated the students who got their degrees. Along with this, he praised the university for the quality education system. At the same time, Gambia’s High Commissioner Mustafa Jawara also praised the university and said, ‘It is a living proof of making a complete person.’ He came happy with the progress of the university. Integral University is at number three in private universities in Uttar Pradesh. It has recently been ranked among the top 100 universities in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework.
Professor Syed Waseem Akhtar, Chancellor and Founder of Integral University, congratulated the students on their achievement and talked about the three religions that the university follows. This religion is humanity, patriotism and communal harmony. Professor Nadeem Akhtar thanked the Defense Minister for his dignified presence. Vice Chancellor Professor Javed Musarrat presented the annual report of the University and emphasized on the bilateral educational opportunities available in the University. The program ended successfully with the national anthem.
