Delhi Guest Teacher: The Directorate of Education of Delhi has issued a big relief order to the guest teachers teaching in government schools of Delhi. According to the report, guest teachers teaching in government schools will be re-employed before the summer vacations. It has been said in this order that the guest teachers who started teaching in government or aided schools before April 19 will be re-appointed.

Amidst the Corona epidemic in Delhi, summer holidays were declared for schools from April 20 to June 9. As soon as the holidays were announced, the Directorate of Education had also terminated the services of guest teachers teaching in schools. Since then, the guest teachers were waiting for the resumption of service, on which an important decision has been taken on Wednesday. According to the notice issued, by June 17, one has to report to the concerned SOH. Failure to report by the stipulated date will be assumed that the teacher does not want re-appointment.

Relief to 22 thousand guest teachers

In government and aided schools, more than 22 thousand guest teachers are providing their services. The Delhi government had declared summer holidays from April 20 to June 9. During the holiday, instructions were issued to terminate the services of about 21 thousand guest teachers.

Guest Teacher Association welcomed the decision

All India Guest Teachers Association has welcomed the order of Directorate of Education for reinstatement of guest teachers on behalf of Directorate of Education of Delhi. Association office-bearer Shoaib Rana said that due to the implementation of the closure along with the summer vacation, the livelihood crisis in front of the guest teachers had deepened. However, with this decision of the directorate, the life of a large number of guest teachers will be able to get back on track. Many organizations had opposed the termination of the services of guest teachers. In which he wrote a letter to the Lieutenant Governor, demanding an honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month.
