Delhi University has extended the registration process for the fourth, sixth and eighth semester examinations of UG and PG courses till May 7. Now students can register till 7 May at 5 pm (Delhi University Examination Registration). Delhi University said in one of its notices, “All concerned students are informed that the last date for filling the examination form has been extended till 07.05.2021 till 5.00 pm.” The mode and dates of DU examination will be announced in the coming days. Final year examinations postponed
Delhi University has postponed the final year examinations for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students in view of the current COVID-19 status. Earlier these exams were to be held in May, but now these exams (DU Exams) will be held on June 1. DU’s Dean of Examination DS Rawat told The Hindu, “There was a meeting on Saturday with the heads and deans of all departments. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor and it was decided that the examinations for the final year students will be postponed and held on June 1. A notification in this regard will be issued on Monday. “
Apart from this, the officials said that the exam will be conducted in the online mode just like last year. Delhi University will soon decide about other batches.
Earlier, the Teachers Association of Delhi University, DUTA (DUTA) has written a letter to the Vice Chancellor, stating that students and teachers are not mentally and physically prepared to continue teaching-learning and to cancel the examinations. And classes have been suspended. Apart from this, teachers and students have also expressed concern about conducting examinations in the midst of the increasing Kovid-19 cases in the country.
The DUTA has asked the university to cancel all examinations and consider alternative means for evaluating students. Duta said that no one is in a position to write or conduct the exam at this time.
