Delhi University Reopening: Delhi University is opening from today, classes will run with these rules

Delhi University Reopening: In view of the relief in the cases of Corona in Delhi, the process of opening educational institutions has started. In this episode, classes are also being started in Delhi University. The Delhi University administration has decided to open the university in a phased manner.

Guidelines have also been issued by the administration regarding the opening of Delhi University. DU had decided to resume online classes after approval from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on 30 August 2021 to reopen educational institutions.

Online classes will also continue

Online classes will continue along with offline classes. According to the official notification issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), universities will have to follow certain SOPs while reopening the campus. Thus, self-monitoring of health and prompt reporting of any disease, use of Aarogya Setu app, where convenient, washing hands at regular intervals and maintaining social distance of six feet would be mandatory.

These rules have to be followed

Teaching and non-teaching staff should get both doses of corona vaccine at the earliest.

Students who have been to college, they should have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Classes will be conducted online for both graduation and post graduation courses.

-With regard to visits to libraries, departments may give respective slots to students for visiting libraries.

Final year UG and PG students will be allowed to attend practical and library classes from 15 September. Classes will resume with 50 per cent capacity.

The re-organization of physical classes for students from class 9th to 12th in the schools of the national capital Delhi has been started from 1st September 2021. According to various reports, while the attendance of students in government schools is increasing, on the other hand, private schools are still waiting for more senior students to come. In this sequence, now private schools are demanding to start middle classes and provide bus facilities.
