BHU Admission 2023: Banaras Hindu University ,BHU, Has launched the ‘International Visiting Student Programme’. Under this scheme, research scholars of the university will get an opportunity to conduct their research in prestigious global institutions outside India for one semester.

As per the scheme, the selected research scholars will spend one semester (about six months) at any one of the top 500 institutions in the world. The objective of the scheme is to promote networking, facilitate collaborative research, strengthen institutional linkages, develop practical, theoretical and professional skills.

Must have ability

PhD students who have completed their course with CGPA 8 or more and have published at least two papers in their subject in journals of international repute. be eligible for the program. Consent is mandatory from the concerned institution to provide necessary facilities to the research scholar to continue his research.

BHU will also give fellowship

The research scholars will also receive a consolidated fellowship amount of USD 1800 per month for their semester abroad. They will also be provided with economy class return air travel, visa fee and health insurance (if required). Under the scheme, the concerned students will also receive a travel allowance of approximately $600 within the host country for attending conferences or visiting other institutions of interest.

BHU VC Professor Sudhir Kumar Jain said that this initiative will enable outstanding PhD students of BHU to work in leading research universities or laboratories abroad and provide them an opportunity to compete at the international level. He said that the program has been envisaged according to the National Education Policy 2020.
