DU UG Admission 2021: Delhi University may release the cut-off schedule next week. The officials will hold a meeting with the principal of the college to finalize the cut-off schedule. An official said that the university is planning to release its first cut-off (Delhi University First Cut-Off For UG Admission) on October 1 keeping in view the convenience of the students appearing for the reform or compartment examination.
Professor Rajeev Gupta, chairman of the university’s admission committee, said, “We will finalize the cut-off schedule very soon. 1st October is a tentative date for the first cut-off. We are planning to release the cut-off on that day. We will hold a meeting with the principal and nodal officers of the college to finalize the schedule.
He said he plans to release the cut-off schedule for at least five cut-offs by next week. A college principal said that he has started holding meetings at his level to analyze the cut-off trend. Another principal said that they are yet to receive the application data from the university and will take a decision accordingly.
According to a media report, with more students securing more than 95 per cent marks in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations this year, most principals were unanimous in saying that the cut-off is going to be higher this time. More than 2.87 lakh students have applied for Delhi University’s graduate courses, down from 3.53 lakh last year in which maximum number of CBSE candidates applied.
Over 2.29 lakh applicants are from CBSE affiliated schools, followed by Board of School Education Haryana (9,918), Council for the Indian School Certification Examination (9,659) and UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education (8,007).
