Let us tell those who are not aware of this, the Indian government had banned many Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile as a risk to national security. Since then, BGMI was launched exclusively for India, replacing the popular battle royale game. However, now, it looks like this version is also being banned in the Indian market. Google had earlier said in an official statement that- “We have notified the affected developer and blocked access to the app.”
Although there is no official information on why this game has been removed, but according to a report by Reuters, BGMI has been banned under Section 69A of the IT Law. This is the same law under which other Chinese apps were banned. For now, the game is not available for download on the Play Store or App Store. However, users who already have the game installed on their smartphones can still play it as its servers are still active.<!–
