ECB got world champion coach, did not play a single international match, now England’s fate will change

Former Australian women’s coach Matthew Mott has been appointed as the England men’s white-ball head coach. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced this on Wednesday.

The England Cricket Board is now working on a strategy to have a separate coach for each format.  After appointing former New Zealand captain Bandam McCullum as the coach of the Test team, England has now announced the name of the coach for the ODI team as well. Mott has played first class cricket for Australia.  He played most of the time for the Victorian Bushrangers and Queensland Bulls.  His coaching career began in the year 2007 when he was appointed the coach of New South Wales and the team won the full Cup for the first time.  Apart from this, he was also associated with Ireland as a consultant during the 2015 ICC Men's World Cup.  After this, in the year 2015, she was made the coach of the women's team of Australia. After the appointment, Mott said, “I am delighted to accept the opportunity to play this white-ball role with England. It was always going to take something special to leave the role I’ve loved for the past seven years with the Australian women’s team. ‘(AFP)
