Twitter Blue was introduced in June last year, which is a monthly service. It is currently available in the US, New Zealand, Canada and Australia. As a service, Twitter lets customers remove ads from their timeline, edit tweets within a time limit of 20 seconds, and completely undo a tweet, among many other premium services.
Elon Musk wants to see his 81.3 million followers update on Twitter. Meanwhile, Elon Musk tweeted that users paying for a special service offered by Twitter Blue will have to receive a separate authentication checkmark from side-line bots with the ‘public figure’ and ‘official account’ checkmarks.
At the same time, Elon Musk further stated that Twitter Blue fees should be proportional to the local currency and that Dogecoin can be used as an alternative. Elon Musk first saw Dogecoin as the people’s crypto. Citing a survey, it claimed that about 33 percent of cryptocurrency owners in the US own Dogecoin.
According to Gadgets 360’s crypto price tracker, Dogecoin is currently priced at $0.15 (roughly Rs.11 in Indian currency) which is easy to buy for small investors.
