England’s legendary player came out in support of Ben Stokes, said – he will prove to be a better captain

All-rounder Ben Stokes is a strong contender for the post after Joe Root resigned as Test captain after losing the series against the West Indies.

Ben Stokes was recently appointed as the captain of the Test cricket team of England. Stokes has been entrusted with this very pressing responsibility within a few months of his return from the game due to mental health reasons. The veteran players are excited about Stokes’ captaincy. Michael Aarthton said, Ben Stokes has got a chance to take the team in a different direction.  Atherton further felt that if there was no coach with England in time for the first Test, it would not be a problem for the England team, which are currently at the bottom of the points table for the second WTC cycle. Former England Test batsman Rob was recently appointed as the Managing Director of men's cricket in England.  This is Rob's first major decision.  He said that he is sure that Stokes is ready to take on the burden of captaincy while he spent most of 2021 away from cricket to focus on his health and recover from two finger operations.
