Gautam Gambhir’s statement about CSK reaching the play-offs

There will be no pressure of international cricket on players

The team of Chennai Super Kings is full of experienced players. There are many players in the team including MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, who do not play international cricket. But he seems to be giving his best for CSK. Talking to Star Sports, Gautam Gambhir said,

“Yes, they have players who don’t play a lot of cricket, but it can be beneficial for you over time as there will be no pressure on the players to play international cricket or come back.”

Even if you start slow, it will not matter

MS Dhoni captained Chennai Super Kings He did exceptionally well in the initial matches. CSK are at the second position in the points table by winning 5 matches out of 7 matches played. Now Gautam Gambhir said about reaching the play-offs,

“They have put themselves in such a position that even if they start slow, it won’t make much difference. Even if they start slow in one or two games, they will still be able to qualify for the top 4 and once they do, it can be anyone’s game.”

“Also, after playing at Wankhede, if you are going in these conditions, your position will be better because Wankhede is a very difficult ground. Despite having such a team, they have done something good to stay in this position. They will take that faith with them.”
