Gold is trading in a limited range today amid weak global cues. On Tuesday, the October futures gold price on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.1 per cent, or Rs 48 per 10 grams. The price of gold has fallen for the third time in four days. While the December futures silver price fell 0.24 per cent i.e. Rs 149 per kg. In India, gold prices are hovering near a one-month low due to uncertainty over the Fed tapering timeline and a strengthening dollar on the precious metal.
In international markets, gold declined today as the dollar index held steady near two-week highs, while investors remained cautious ahead of crucial US inflation data.
