Preparing to use mobile phones instead of printed tickets

The central government is planning to promote new technology and innovations. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that instead of issuing tickets to passengers, mobile phones should be used for this. He said that the use of tickets should be stopped and mobiles should be used instead.

“We need to embrace the new technology of electric vehicles. We should stop using tickets and use mobile phones for tickets,” Gadkari said at the first annual event of StratNewsGlobal. He also spoke about the need to increase the production of lithium batteries in the country. He said that by increasing the production of the manufacturers, the cost of these batteries can be reduced. On luxury buses, he said that buses connecting big cities like Delhi and Mumbai Electric And can be double-decker. The government has tendered over Rs 5,500 crore to buy 5,580 electric buses. This includes 130 double-decker buses.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has an ambition to make India a $5 trillion economy. Along with this, they want to move towards self-reliant India. “It is our responsibility how we reduce imports and increase exports,” Gadkari said. For this we have to make new policies.

Recently, after the death of a big businessman Cyrus Mistry in a road accident, Gadkari had said that there is a need to change the mindset of the people to increase road safety. He said, “People think that those in the back seat do not need seatbelts. This is a problem. Those in both the front and back seats need to wear seat belts. I traveled in the cars of four chief ministers. I was in the front seat and I came to know that there is a clip which does not sound the alarm if I do not use the belt. I have banned such clips.” The road transport ministry is taking the help of Bollywood actors, cricketers and media to raise awareness about this. Gadkari had said that the ministry is working on making six airbags mandatory for all cars.
