Ahmedabad: Gujarat Titans have once again made it to the finals of IPL. The current champion team, captained by Hardik Pandya, entered the final by defeating the five-time champions Mumbai Indians unilaterally in Qualifier-2. On the basis of Shubman Gill’s record century and then the excellent bowling of Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan, Gujarat registered a surprising victory by 62 runs.
This was the second encounter between the two teams at the Narendra Modi Stadium this season and the result was similar to the previous match. Then Gujarat had scored more than 200 runs while batting first and stopped Mumbai before 160 runs. This time too, Gujarat batted first and while scoring a big score of 233 runs, piled up Mumbai for just 171 runs.
