The CHEERAG scheme is being run by the Haryana government for admission in private schools in the state. Under this scheme, a plan was made to enroll 24,987 children in 381 private schools in Haryana. What is CHEERAG Scheme?

Chirag scheme for admission in private schools is being run under Rule 134A of Haryana School Education Rules in place of the scheme started by Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in the year 2007. Under this scheme, students from class 1 to class 12 are given free education in private schools.

Who can apply?

It is mandatory for a student to be a resident of Haryana state to get admission in a private school. At the same time, the income from the family of the student should be less than ₹ 1,80,000 and should not be more than this.
