Since March 7 till now, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 17.6 per kg. CNG has become costlier by Rs 7.50 per kg in April alone. In the last one year, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 30.21 per kg. If seen in this way, then this increase is 60 percent.
Public transport like city bus service, auto, taxi fare will increase further due to the cost of CNG. Due to the cost of CNG, all types of transportation will also be expensive. The poor to middle class will be affected the most by this.
Now let’s talk about those who travel by air. Aircraft fuel which we also call ATF on Monday. It has become costlier by 5.3 per cent. This is the tenth increase in ATF this year. The price of ATF in Delhi has increased by Rs 6,188 per kiloliter to Rs 1 lakh 23 thousand 39 per kiloliter. ATF accounts for about 40 per cent of the operating expenses of airlines. Meaning if expensive fuel will burn in the plane, then your pocket will also burn more. Meaning airlines companies will soon demand to increase the airfare.
After all, why are oil companies compelled to raise prices so frequently. In fact, about 80 percent of the total fuel requirement in the country comes through crude oil imports. Due to the Russo-Ukraine war, now both crude oil and natural gas are getting expensive in the international market.
