New Delhi. The title match of the World Test Championship will be played between India and Australia at The Oval next month from June 7 to 11. India has reached the final for the second time in a row. Last time New Zealand broke his dream of becoming world champion in Test, but this time Rohit Sharma’s fans have tightened their gear. Many Indian players including Virat Kohli have also reached England and have started their preparations.
Australia has also started putting its emphasis. Meanwhile, the prize money of the World Test Championship was announced in the ICC. The ICC announced on Friday that a total of Rs 31, 39,42, 700 will be distributed among 9 teams. The final will be played between India and Australia, that means both the teams will get more prize money than the rest of the teams. The champion of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 will get Rs 13.2 crore in prize money, while the runner-up team will get Rs 6.5 crore.
No change in prize money
There has been no change in the prize money. The champion and runner up team of the first edition of the championship were also given the same amount of prize money. Kane Williamson’s New Zealand defeated India by 8 wickets and took home Rs 13.2 crore along with the title.
