There are only a few hours left for the start of the ODI series between India and Bangladesh, but injury has wreaked havoc on the hosts. Bangladesh will have to go into this series without their veteran batsman and captain Tamim Iqbal, who has been ruled out due to a groin injury. In his absence, the Bangladeshi board has also made him the captain of the team. Recently, aggressive batsman Litton Das, who thrashed the Indian bowlers in the T20 World Cup, has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Bangladeshi team for this series.

The three-match ODI series begins on Sunday, December 4 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. With this match, Litton Das will take charge of the team. This will be the first time that Liton Das will captain Bangladesh in ODI cricket. However, he is not at all ignorant of captaincy. He captained the team in a T20 match last year.

Giving information about Litton’s appointment, Bangladesh Cricket Board’s head of cricket operations, Jalal Yunus, in a statement praised the 28-year-old batsman and described him as suitable for leadership. Yunus said, Litton is one of the most experienced players in the team and has shown leadership abilities. He has a sharp mind for cricket and reads the game well.
