After losing the first two matches of the series, the Indian cricket team has the last chance to avoid the embarrassment of a clean sweep. Team India’s performance in the first two matches of the Bangladesh ODI series failed to leave any kind of good impression and now the question is, will the Indian team be able to hold its own and perform well? The question is also that will Team India make some changes in the playing XI to save honor in the series? One answer to this is that changes are certain, but it is important to know and understand who will get the chance.
The last match of the ODI series is to be played on Saturday 10 December in Chattogram. There are bound to be some changes in Team India in this match. The main reason for this is the injury of the players. Captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Deepak Chahar were injured in the second ODI, while Kuldeep Sen, who made his debut in the first ODI, has also been ruled out of the series due to injury. Apart from these, Akshar Patel’s fitness is also questionable.
Chance for Ishan or Tripathi-Rajat in the opening?
That is, there will be changes and it will start with the opening, where one of Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul will come down to support Shikhar Dhawan. However, despite Rohit’s injury in the second ODI, Rahul’s entry into the middle order is a clear indication that he will remain at the same position and in such a situation, Ishan Kishan will get a chance.
By the way, if Rahul lands for the opening, then Team India can field either Rajat Patidar or Rahul Tripathi in the middle order, who have been kept with the team but haven’t got a chance to debut.
The Indian team has to take a big decision in the bowling department. The pace bowling pair of Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik is set to play. Both have done well in the initial overs. Just could not succeed in breaking the partnership in the last over. Nevertheless, it is decided to play both because there are no options. Also, there will be a third pacer in the form of Shardul Thakur.
Now the question is who out of the four spinners will get a chance. The BCCI has only included left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the squad for this match, which is a clear indication that he is sure to get a chance. One of the reasons for this is that Indian bowlers have failed in the middle overs after taking wickets in the beginning and Kuldeep is an expert in this work. Means Kuldeep Yadav will play with Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel will also get a chance.
India’s possible playing XI
KL Rahul (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Akshar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik.
