Rohit Sharma was hit by Corona before the Edgbaston Test against England, due to which he is not playing the 5th Test match.

His corona report came negative on Sunday itself. After the report came negative, he joined the team and the very next day also landed on the field. In fact, before the 5th Test match being played against England at Edgbaston, he was hit by Corona. Because of which he was dropped from the first Test.
Rohit Sharma will come on the field with full force
Now it is expected that the Indian captain will come in full force in the 3-match T20 series against England starting from July 7. After IPL 2022, Rohit Sharma can now be seen on the field on 7th July. In fact, he was not even a part of the T20 series against South Africa. He was given rest.

In the absence of Rohit, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant was made the captain of the Indian T20 team against South Africa. However, after reaching England, Rohit played a practice match and during the same match his corona report came positive and he had to be isolated. India had suffered a major setback due to Rohit’s exit.

T20 and ODI series after Test
After being out of the 5th Test, Jasprit Bumrah was given the captaincy of the Indian team in the Edgbaston Test, because KL Rahul is also not part of the Indian team on this tour due to injury and under Bumrah’s captaincy, India gave a tough fight to England.
