India’s World Championship medalist B Sai Praneeth had to face defeat in the qualifying round of the Indonesia Masters Super 500 badminton tournament.

Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen and Saina Nehwal notched up contrasting victories to enter the second round of the men’s and women’s singles events respectively at the Indonesia Masters Super 500 tournament on Wednesday. (PTI)

Saina, who reached the second round of India Open, made it to the pre-quarterfinals with a 21-15 17-21 21-15 win over Chinese Taipei's Pai Yu Po.  Former world number one player Kidambi Srikanth again lost the match after losing the lead.  He lost 10-21 22-24 in 39 minutes.(PTI)
