At launch, MediaTek had said that the chip would be available in the third quarter. At the same time, the Infinix Note 12, launched in April, used to operate on the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC.

The company has said that the new smartphone is the first smartphone with the new SoC. This is the only information provided by Infinix about the upcoming smartphone.

MediaTek on May 23 launched three new SoCs, Dimensity 1050, Dimensity 930 and Helio G99. The MediaTek Helio G99 was launched as a successor to the Helio G96 to enhance the gaming experience on 4G smartphones. MediaTek claimed that the new chip will offer higher throughput rate for gaming and more than 30 percent power savings over the old chip. At the time of launch, the company had said that the SoC would come to customers in the second quarter of 2022.

Infinix Note 12 was first launched in China in April. The smartphone will debut in India in May and the sale will start from May 28. Talking about the processor, the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC processor has been given in this smartphone. Talking about storage, it has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
