IPL 15th season will start from 26 March

Earlier it was coming to the fore that it would start from March 27. Talks are going on between the broadcaster and BCCI regarding this.

IPL may start from March 26

With the increase in the number of teams in IPL 2022, the number of players has also increased. Before the 15th season, 204 players were included in their respective teams in the two-day IPL Mega Auction held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. The same, 33 players were retained by all the 10 teams before the auction.

Now Cricbuzz has released a report that, IPL broadcasters want the tournament to start from March 26 and 2 matches to be played on Sunday, March 27. However, none of the BCCI and broadcasters have given any official statement regarding this matter so far. An official of the franchise with knowledge in this regard said,

The start of the tournament from Saturday will help the broadcaster. With this, 3 matches will be played in the first 2 days and the atmosphere will be created. It is not possible for this to happen since the tournament starts on Sunday.

All league stage matches will be held at one place

On behalf of the board, all the franchises were asked to inform about the schedule by 20 February. But after new things it may take a little more time. The board has not announced the venue yet. According to the information, even after the continuous decrease in the case of Corona, there is a plan to conduct all the matches of IPL 2022 league stage in Maharashtra itself.

For this, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has identified 4 grounds Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne, DY Patil and Pune. But providing ground for practice to 10 teams is a big challenge. MCA is busy preparing for this.
