IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings included Akash Singh in the team as a replacement for Mukesh Chaudhary before the opening match. Akash has played the Under 19 World Cup for India.

New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings will play the opening match of IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans. Just before this match, the bowler who created havoc in CSK has entered. In fact, the team’s star bowler Mukesh Chaudhary has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. He is suffering from stress fracture. In his place, Akash Singh of Rajasthan has been included by CSK. Akash has also been a part of Rajasthan Royals.
Mukesh Chowdhary was the find of the last season. He took 16 wickets in 13 matches with an economy of 9.31. Out of these, he took 11 wickets in the powerplay. As a replacement for Mukesh, CSK has included a bowler who wreaks havoc like him.

Akash did not find any buyer in the auction. Now the franchisee has included him in the base price of Rs 20 lakh. The 21-year-old Akash, who has played the Under-19 World Cup for India, has the experience of only 9 T20 matches. He has taken 7 wickets in these 9 matches. Akash has also done a wonderful job of taking 10 wickets without giving a run once, but he did this amazing thing in club cricket.

In a T20 match played in Jaipur in 2017, Akash did not give a single run in 4 overs and took all 10 wickets. In front of Akash, the opposition team was all out for 36 runs. In this match, he took a hat-trick in the last over. Akash made his T20 debut for Rajasthan in 2019, but moved from Rajasthan to Nagaland before the 2022-2023 domestic season and made his debut for Nagaland in October last year.
